Today was a good day… mostly. We celebrated the holiday with hot dogs and chili plus a Reese Blast from Sonic!
The children rode their bikes and scooters while we got some exercise walking and chatting about books and things to be done this week. The heat and humidity was relentless, but thankfully the insects left us alone and there were no mishaps.
Over the weekend we picked up a DVD of the King James Version of the Bible narrated by Alexander Scourby. We are hoping this will help with our Bible study – especially with pronunciation of proper names in the Bible. Yesterday we began using it, listening to the first three chapters of Genesis. Tonight my granddaughter requested we play it. We heard another five chapters, as they wanted to get through the part with Noah and the flood. Both grandchildren are enjoying it far more than I expected. This is wonderful news!
The day passed too quickly. Showers are done, teeth brushed and it’s my bedtime. God bless you and good night.
